The works on construction of the motorway section Rača – Bijeljina, of the total length l=21 km has started on September 15, 2022 and at the beginning the project progressed by the planned schedule. In time, the works have slowed down due to reasons not attributable to Integral Inženjering. During the second half of the year 2025, the prerequisites for normal performance of works started to materialize, so the works have become more intense.
The following works have been completed as of the end of 2025:
The embankment made of the river gravel was constructed in the amount of 1,979,622.09 m3 in the compacted state, which represents 79.89% out of the total of 2,478,052.51 m3 , while the subgrade is constructed from the river gravel in the amount of 81,086.83 m3 in compacted state, representing 29.01% of the total 279,458.61 m3 at this work position.
Three flat culverts of lengths PP1 L=42 m, PP2 L=73.9 m and PP3 L= 42.4 m were completed at the motorway alignment, as well as ten pipe culverts of diameter Ø1500 mm, the lengths of which are 24 – 49 m.
The total of ten bridges were designed at this section, one of those being the bridge O8 of length L=485.00 m and the bridge O1 of length L=273.10 m. The percentage of works executed on construction of bridges is the following:
- at the bridge O1 L=273.10 m, all 69 RC piles and 14 RC capping slabs of dimensions 2.0 x 6.6 x 6.6 m, were completed, as well as 6 RC piers of height of 8.50 m out of the total of 14;
- at the bridge O2 L=115.60 m, 16 RC piles were made out of the total of 28, and also the RC foundations for retaining walls P1, P2 and P3;
- at the bridge O4 L=40.00 m, all 24 RC piles were executed;
- at the bridge O5 L=40.00 m, 12 RC piles were made out of the total of 24;
- at the bridge O7 L=40.00 m, all 24 RC piles were made and all 4 capping slabs of dimensions of 1.20 x 1.50 x 11.45 m;
- at the bridge O8 L=485 m, all 134 RC piles were executed;
- at the bridge O9 L=50.90 m, all 28 RC piles were made, and two RC capping slabs of dimensions 1.5 x 6.4 x 10.9 m.
For all purposes, the total of 307 RC piles were made out of the designed 431 piles, of diameters Ø800 mm, Ø1200 mm and Ø1500 mm, and the lengths vary from 14 m to 33 m.
For the purpose of project realization, the material disposal site was prepared, access roads made, and technical-technological base formed, including concrete and asphalt plants, laboratory for quality testing of materials, reinforcement workshop, machine service workshop, offices for Engineer and other personnel, as well as other facilities necessary for accommodation of employees.
In the following period, the works on the first 7 km of the motorway section (from junction with the motorway Kuzmin-Rača to the future interchange Brodac) will be intensified. These will include construction of the remaining part of the gravel embankment and the subgrade, construction of the fill layer, cement stabilization, asphalt works, signs, signals and markings, and construction of the toll station Brodac.
The works on all structures will be continued, which will, depending on the degree of executed works, include the construction of the remaining piles, abutments and piers, capping slabs, the bridge superstructure and internal drainage system, with the accent on structures O1 and O2.The Project is specific by being co-founded by the budgets of the Republic of Serbia (80%) and of the Republika Srpska (20%).
