The company Integral inženjering completed, before the scheduled deadline, the construction of a protective gallery on the motorway E80 (Niš – Dimitrovrad) near the Bancarevo tunnel on October 28, 2019. The construction of the protective gallery solved the biggest challenge on this motorway – the permanent stabilization of the C6 slope at the entrance of the Bancarevo tunnel in the left lane. The gallery, with a total length of L = 167 m, was subsequently designed and it is the extension of one tunnel tube.
The company Integral inženjering constructed the gallery in several months of intensive works, using experiences gained on similar jobs during construction of Trans-European motorway E75 in Grdelica canyon and its own powerful machinery for deep foundation.
The gallery is founded on 132 piles of diameter of Ø = 2.000 mm. Over 10.000 m3 of concrete and over 2.500 tons of reinforcement was incorporated. Approximately 40.000 m3 of earth was excavated, and approximately 80 .000 m3of material was backfilled.
With construction of the Bancarevo protective gallery and with the completion of the Bancarevo – Crvena Reka motorway section (LOT -2), construction of the entire motorway on the Corridor 10 from Niš to Dimitrovgrad in total length of L = 86,9 kilometers has been completed.

The works on the construction of Bancarevo protective gallery and finishing works on the Bancarevo – Crvena Reka (LOT 2) section alignment of the motorway were the last works on the motorway E80 (Niš – Dimitrovgrad).
The ceremony of completion and commissioning of the motorway on the Corridor 10 from Proseka to Crvena Reka in total length L = 22,5 kilometers was held on Saturday, November 09, 2019. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Milorad Dodik, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Bojko Borisov, President of the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria, representatives of the highest political leadership of the Republic of Serbia, representatives of Contractors and representatives of other stakeholders.
On behalf of the company Integral inženjering, the ceremony was attended by Slobodan Stankovic, General Manager and Mitar Vukovic, Director of NIš Branch of Integral inženjering, with associates.
The company Integral inženjering made a significant contribution to the final phase of the E80 motorway construction by cooperating with its partners on the following:
- investigation and rehabilitation works on the Sarlah landslide, section 5A: Staničenje – Sarlah (more about the project)
- construction of the protective gallery on slope C6, LOT 2: Bancarevo – Crvena Reka (more about the project).
