Integral inženjering a.d. Laktaši on September 16, 2025 successfully completed construction works on the expressway Okučani – border of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the section: interchange “Novi Varoš” – bridge on the Sava (phase 2).
We remind that Integral inženjering and its partners previously built an interstate bridge over the Sava River (phase 1) in 2022, as well as carrying out works on phase 3 of the same expressway, the completion of which will follow in 2026.
The four-lane expressway with a length of 4.07 km includes the objects of the bridge “Kanal nova Sava” L=523.40 m and the bridge “Rukavac Strug” L=169.40 m, as well as the plateau of the new border crossing. The overpass of the “Novi Varoš” junction crosses the expressway route L=70.70 m.
The construction of this section of the expressway, together with the new border crossing and the new bridge over the Sava River, is of great importance for the economy and citizens, because, after soon being put into use, this road will enable the faster movement of people and goods, will enable the smooth and efficient performance of work by the control authorities, and will enable the normal development of life in the now overburdened Gradiška.
Integral inženjering, as a contractor, is very proud to have successfully implemented this project in the flood area of the Sava River, on the border of the “Lonjsko Polje” Nature Park and in the interstate border areas, which required adaptation of work technologies to natural cycles, the strictest environmental protection requirements, as well as complex border and customs procedures.The specific of this project is the presence of a larger number of interested parties than usual (contractor, supervision, border police and customs of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, control authorities of Croatia and the EU, etc.). Professional, constructive, complex and comprehensive coordination between them enabled the successful achievement of a common goal.
