The signing ceremony of the Contract for the first phase of the Okučani – Bosnia and Herzegovina border project, which includes the construction of a bridge over the Sava River, took place in ‘Hrvatske ceste d.o.o.’ [Croatian state-owned road management company] headquarters on 16 July 2019.
On behalf of the Investor, the Contract was signed by Mr Josip Škorić, the Board President of ‘Hrvatske ceste’ and Mr Saša Dalipagić, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On behalf of the Contractor, Joint Venture ‘Integral Inženjering a.d.’, Đuro Đaković Montaža d.o.o. and Zagreb-Montaža d.o.o., the Contract was signed by Mr Dragan Jevtović, Chief Technical Officer in ‘Integral Inženjering a.d.’
The Contractor was chosen in an international tender invited by ‘Hrvatske ceste’ from Zagreb.
The Contract value is EUR 19,540,997.00 (VAT excluded), the equivalent of BAM 38,218,868.00 (VAT excluded), and the planned time for completion of the works is 30 months.
The total bridge length is l = 462,2 m ( total span length is 128 + 170 + 128 m = 426 m ), total width is 22.6 m and the steel construction weight is 4,650 t. The bridge road will have four lanes, two in each direction.
This interstate Sava River bridge to be located west (upstream) from Gradiška is a part of the European route E661, which connects Split (Croatia) with Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Virovitica (Croatia) and Balaton (Hungary), as well as the existing Banja Luka – Gradiška motorway (operational since 2011) with the future expressway Border – Okučani – Virovitica – Balaton.
The bridge will be a part of the construction of a functional road section Border – Okučani, which, among other things, includes a full profile motorway in the Republika Srpska (B&H), a four-lane expressway in Croatia, two separate border crossings and access roads. This will facilitate the traffic of people and goods, enable an interrupted and efficient operation of border services and a normal life in presently overloaded town of Gradiška.
The company Integral Inženjering, which this year marks 30 years of successful business, has considerable and vast experience in bridge construction, a guarantee of a successful implementation of this project. Below are some of the most significant bridge construction projects implemented in cooperation with partners:
