About the project:
Intersection „Sopot” is located on the sub-section Stanicenje – Sarlah (motorway E80 Nis – Dimitrovgrad), which was put into operation in early 2019. Once built, the intersection will take the Niš-Pirot and Knjaževac-Pirot state roads across the E80 motorway.
In this way, the shortest and fastest connection between Bela Palanka and Pirot with the Park of nature “Stara Planina”, Temska Monastery and Knjaževac will be achieved, thus giving impetus to tourism development and general progress of the Stara planina Mountain villages and gravitating parts of Eastern Serbia.
Scope of works:
The project includes preparation of main design and construction of three‐way deleveled intersection on crossing of Highway E80, Niš – Dimitrovgrad, section: Staničenje – Šarlah with state road IIA No.259 (Knjaževac – Pirot) and state road IIA No.221 (Niš – Pirot).
An overpass in total length L=104,90 m, with 4 spans l=26.35+26.10+26.10+26.35 m will be constructed. It is prefabricated pre-stressed I girders of 1,00 m high and founded on piles Ø=1500 mm.
In addition to construction of overpass and connection roads, project includes works on traffic signalization and equipment and works on electrical installations.
