Representatives of the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia visited on July 5, 2023 construction site on the section of the Rača – Bijeljina motorway and saw the state of the works.
The construction site was visited by:
- Mr.Nedeljko Čubrilović, Minister of Transport and Communications in the Government of the Republic of Srpska;
- Mr.Goran Vesić, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure in the Government of the Republic Serbia;
- Mr.Aleksandar Antić, director of the company “Corridors of Serbia”;
- Mr.Zoran Drobnjak, director of the company “Roads of Serbia;
- representatives of the company “Motorways of Republic of Srpska” and
Mr.Milan Dakić, acting director of the company “Roads of Republic of Srpska”.
In their addresses to the media, the two ministers emphasized the importance of connecting with high-quality roads for mutual benefit. This project is specific in that it is co-financed by the Republic of Serbia (80%) and the Republic of Srpska (20%). Stable financing will enable the design and construction of this motorway within the stipulated period.
The Rača – Bijeljina highway section is an integral part of the future Rača – Bijeljina – Brčko – Vukosavlje highways and the Belgrade – Sarajevo highway.
State of works:
At this moment, the second layer of the embankment of the route is being filled along the entire length of the 21 km route and preparations are being made for the installation of deep foundation piles for structures on the motorway route. This was preceded by removal of humus, preparation of the subsoil and filling of the first layer of embankment, where 800,000 m3 of embankment material was installed.
Integral inženjering has completed the main project for the development of which geo-investigation and detailed geodetic works were carried out, since the project is realized according to the model of the yellow FIDIC-contract.
For the purposes of project implementation, a landfill was prepared for the disposal of materials, access roads were arranged, and a technical-technological campus was formed, which includes a concrete and asphalt base, a laboratory for testing the quality of materials, a plant for the production of rebar baskets, a service workshop for mechanization, offices for the work of Engineer and Integral’s own staff, as well as other facilities needed for housing of employees.
