The consortium consisting of Integral inženjering a.d. Laktaši and Integra inženjering d.o.o. Banja Luka built the Detention Unit of the Sarajevo Penitentiary at the Blažuj location- municipality of Ilidža, Sarajevo, during the period September 28, 2021 – July 17, 2023. The four buildings were built for (1) entry control, (2) accommodation of detainees, (3) administration and (4) service works, with a total gross area of 4.375,00 m2 which provide accommodation for 150 male detainees.
The handover to the investor took place on September 6, 2023.
The Project, with a contract value of 8.64 million KM (4.42 million €), was fully financed by the European Union, which was represented by the European Commission, i.e. the Delegation of the European Commission in Sarajevo.
The works were supervised by the specialized company Safage Bosnia d.o.o., Sarajevo.
The consortium, as an experienced and responsible contractor, greatly contributed to the successful realization of the Project by identifying deficiencies in the project documentation and by proposing feasible engineering solutions, with the consent and approval of the supervisor and the investor. The specialized control bodies of the EU confirmed with an in-depth analysis the professional and correct behavior of the Consortium during the realization of the Project.
The newly built Detention Unit significantly contributes to more efficient work of the Sarajevo Penitentiary, because in the immediate vicinity, in addition to this facility, a Prison Unit was also built earlier.
