Integral In\u017eenjering is carrying out construction works on the Oku\u010dani \u2013 Bosnia and Herzegovina border expressway, Phase 3, in accordance with the established schedule. The embankment has been completed along the entire alignment, with the exception of the interchange between the expressway and State Road DC5, the construction of which is planned for the coming period. In addition to the embankment, a mechanically compacted load-bearing layer of stone material has also been completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the left (eastern) chainage side, the cement-stabilised load-bearing layer and the base asphalt course have been completed. On the right (western) chainage side, stone material has been delivered, graded and compacted for the construction of the cement-stabilised load-bearing layer, and work on this layer is now under way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Internal drainage works are in progress. Drain inlets and culvert pipes have been installed, while central median channels and roadside ditches are still to be constructed. External drainage works along the alignment were not possible due to unfavourable weather conditions and flooding that affected the area around the route. These works will resume as soon as conditions allow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The alignment includes the \u201cKu\u0107i\u0161te\u201d wildlife crossing, a bridge 40 m in length for which the abutments have been completed. Steel span elements are currently being delivered and prepared for welding, after which formwork and falsework will be erected for the construction of the bridge deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The alignment also includes the \u201cVoloder\u201d overpass, for which the abutments have been completed, while the piers are currently under construction. Once all piers are finished and the wearing course of asphalt is laid on the main alignment, formwork and falsework will be erected for the construction of the overpass deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Note: <\/strong>Integral In\u017eenjering commenced works on Phase 3 of the Oku\u010dani \u2013 BiH border expressway on 18 June 2024. This phase was preceded by the construction of the international bridge over the Sava River (Phase 1, completed in 2022) and works on the section from the \u201eNovi Varo\u0161\u201c interchange to the Sava bridge (Phase 2). Phase 3 covers a section 3.7 km in total length, from the existing toll booths near Oku\u010dani to the \u201eNovi Varo\u0161\u201c interchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
